Passengers catch mobile phone thief in city bus, handover to Police

Mysuru: A mobile phone thief, who tried to steal a phone from a passenger in a city bus, was caught by the passengers who handed him over to the Police.

The incident took place when the city bus was moving near City Railway Station on Tuesday. The accused has been identified as Saleem.

On June 5 (Tuesday) at about 12 noon, one Rajashekar boarded the city bus near the Railway Station. When the bus began to move, Saleem came running and he too boarded the city bus.

When the city bus moved a little distance, Saleem made a bid to steal the mobile phone of Rajashekar which was noticed by a few passengers, who caught hold of Saleem and handed him over to the Police.

Mandi Police have registered a case in this regard.
