Patel K. Siddamallappa (76), former Kotalawadi Gram Panchayat President in the taluk, passed away at a private hospital in Mysuru on Sunday, following brief illness.

He leaves behind his wife, son Somalingappa, a Congress leader, daughter-in-law Shashikala Somalingappa, a Gram Panchayat Member, daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at Kotalawadi this afternoon, according to family sources.
