Payment of compensation: DC directs families to visit Taluk Office and bank

Mysore/Mysuru: Amidst complaints that many families of COVID dead are yet to receive the announced Government compensation, DC Dr. Bagadi Gautham has asked the family members of the COVID dead to visit the respective Taluk Office and banks for getting Government compensation of Rs. 50,000.

Pointing out that the family members have to submit documents such as COVID positive report of the dead, Death Certificate, a copy of Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Bank Passbook, a self-declaration in Form-2, No-Objection undertaking given by all family members etc., the DC said that the family members have to visit the Taluk Office and their bank if Rs. 50,000 compensation is not credited to the applicant’s account despite submission of documents.
