Pedestrian killed as lorry runs over

Mysuru:  In a tragic incident, a 55-year-old man from Chamarajanagar, who was on a temple visit to the city, was killed when he was run over by a lorry on the Ring Road near Uttanahalli on Sunday.

Madashetty (55) of Maliyur in Chamarajanagar district is the deceased.

Madashetty was crossing the Ring Road along with his family members to visit Uttanahalli Temple on the outskirts of the city on Sunday morning, when he was run over by a lorry transporting automobiles.

The seriously injured Madashetty was rushed to K.R. Hospital where he breathed his last the same evening.

The lorry driver fled from the spot soon after the mishap.

Mysuru Rural Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
