Pedestrian killed in accident

Mysore/Mysuru: A pedestrian, who had sustained serious injuries after a speeding car hit him on the Outer Ring Road and admitted to a private hospital, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Nov. 19 night.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Nadeem (34), a resident of Hanumanthanagar at Bannimantap in city.

On Nov. 19 at about 11 pm, Nadeem was walking towards Narayana Hospital on the Outer Ring Road, when a speeding car coming from Devegowda Circle, hit Nadeem and sped away. Nadeem, who sustained serious injuries, was admitted to Narayana Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries sometime later.

Passersby had noted down the car’s registration number and based on it, Nadeem’s brother has lodged a complaint at N.R. Traffic Police Station.

Following the complaint, the Police, who have registered a case have launched a search to trace the car.
