Pedestrian killed while crossing road in Mysuru

Mysuru: A 56-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the road, was killed on the spot, when a Nanjangud bound KSRTC bus rammed into him on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road near Gundurao Nagar yesterday night.

The deceased is Subramanya, a Pourakarmika, working on contract basis at the MCC and a resident of Pourakarmika Colony in Vidyaranyapuram.

Yesterday at about 7.15 pm, Subramanya, was crossing the Mysuru-Nanjangud Road from the petrol bunk side toward Gundurao Nagar, when the bus rammed into him, killing Subramanya on the spot.

K.R. Traffic Inspector P. Ashok and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.

K.R. Traffic Police who have registered a case in this regard are investigating.
