Pedestrian succumbs to injuries at Hospital

Mysuru:  A pedestrian was killed when a bike (KA-09-HY-1713) rammed into him near Bidaragudu in Nanjangud taluk on Wednesday at about 7.15 pm resulting in the pedestrian suffering serious injuries.

The injured pedestrian, identified as Nagaraja Naika of Doora village in the taluk was rushed to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru, where he succumbed to injuries at midnight. He was 64, according to Hullahalli Sub-Inspector B. Surendra, who has registered a case.

Post-mortem was conducted at MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru yesterday morning and the body was handed over to the family members. The bike has been seized and the rider Raghavendra has been taken into custody, the Sub-Inspector said.
