People asked to deposit weapons

In view of the by-polls to take place for Ward No. 20 of Nanjangud CMC and with the Model Code of Conduct in place from Dec. 8 to 30, the DC has banned use of firearms and accordingly, all those residing in Nanjangud CMC limits, who are in possession of weapons, are asked to deposit their firearms (weapons) at their jurisdictional Police Stations, for ensuring smooth and peaceful conduct of the polls, according to a press release.
