Petrol prices slashed by Rs. 5 in city, diesel by Rs.3

Public sector oil companies on Friday cut price of petrol by Rs. 5.21 a litre and that of diesel by Rs. 3.66 a litre, the first change in rates in two and a half months.

Following the revision, the price of petrol stands at Rs. 70.76 a litre (old rate Rs. 75.97) and diesel at Rs. 59.22 (old rate Rs. 62.88) a litre in Mysuru. The revised rates are effective from Friday midnight.
