PFA holds free health check-up for horses

Mysore/Mysuru: People For Animals (PFA), Mysuru, in collaboration with World Veterinary Services (WVS), Ooty, had organised a free health check-up camp for horses in stables around the city yesterday.

Over 36 horses were checked for general health problems, dental issues, de-worming and vaccination. Tonga owners were advised on taking care of hooves of horses, cleaning and grooming of horses.

Dr. Shivani Jain from WVS and Dr. Helen Spencer volunteer from the UK and Dr. Amardeep Singh from People for Animals, Mysuru, were present at the horse camp.

Today, tonga horses at Srirangapatna were treated and free supplements for horses were distributed to the horse owners.
