B.S. Theerthavathy has been awarded Ph.D in Chemistry by the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), for her thesis ‘Studies on Chemical Constituents and Biological Potential of Zanthoxylum Ovalifolium Wight, Clausena Indica (Dalz) Oliver and Acronychia Pedunculata (L) Miq.’ submitted under the guidance of  Dr. Shaukath Ara Khanum.
