Mysuru:  Ambika has been awarded Ph.D in Library and Information Science by the University of Mysore (UoM) for her thesis “Preservation and Conservation Practices and Techniques at Law College Libraries in Karnataka: A Study” submitted under the guidance of Dr. Khaiser Jahan Begum.

T.R. Prakruthi has been awarded Ph.D in Environmental Science by the UoM for her thesis “Biomonitoring of Soil Pollution Using Plant Species in and Around Mysore” under the guidance of Dr. N.S. Raju.

Kirankumar has been awarded Ph.D in West Asian Studies by the UoM for his thesis “Arabian Kolli Rashtragalalli Karnatakada Valase Karmikaru: Visheshavagi Dakshina Kannada Jilleya Ondu Adhyayana (1970-2000)” submitted under the guidance of Dr. C. Gurusiddaiah.

E.C Ningaraja has been awarded Ph.D in Communication and Journalism by the UoM for his thesis “Kannadada Pramuka Dinapathrikegalalli Tale Barahagalu: Ondu Vishleshanathmaka Adhyayana” submitted under the guidance of Dr. Niranjana.

Hita Claudia Rao has been awarded Ph.D in Psychology by the UoM for her thesis “Effectiveness of Life Skills Training on Emotional Distress, Problem Behaviour and Social Competence Among Adolescent Students” submitted under the guidance of Dr. G. Venkatesh Kumar.

S. Mohana Kumar has been awarded Ph.D in Computer  and Information Science by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) for his thesis “Design and Development of Efficient Routing and Wavelength Assignment in WDM networks” submitted under the guidance of Dr. S. N. Jagadeesha.

H.L. Shivabasappa Horeyala, who retired as Dy.SP Lokayukta, Hassan, has been awarded Honorary Doctorate  in Kannada Literature (Honoris Causa) by the National Virtual University for Peace and Education, Poona, Maharashtra. At present he resides in Mysuru.

H.B. Bettaswamy has been awarded Ph.D in Education by the Himalayan University for his thesis “A Comparative Study of Learning Styles, Level of Aspiration and Teaching Effectiveness of B.Ed Teachers” submitted under the guidance of Dr. Keshav Gurjar.
