Pillion rider killed as car rams into bike

Mysuru: A pillion rider, who suffered serious injuries died at a hospital while the rider is undergoing treatment when a car rammed into the bike they were riding at Manandavadi Ring Road junction on Saturday evening.

The deceased is Rudrappa (55), a resident of Kanchumalli village in H.D. Kote taluk. The injured is 39-year-old Nandish, brother-in-law of Rudrappa.

On Saturday evening, Rudrappa and Nandish were proceeding on the bike from H.D. Kote towards Mysuru and when they approached the Ring Road junction, a car coming from Dattagalli side rammed into the bike resulting in both Rudrappa and Nandish falling on the road and suffering injuries.

Though the public rushed both of them to a hospital, Rudrappa succumbed to injuries at the hospital, while Nandish is recovering, according to Police. A case has been registered at K.R. Traffic Police Station in this regard.
