PKD hosts Mysuru’s first ever Submission Grappling Championship

Mysore/Mysuru: The PKD OPEN Submission Grappling Championship was hosted by Prajwal Karate Dojo (PKD), Mysuru, at Kodava Samaja in Vijayanagar recently.

The event, which was Mysuru’s first ever Submission Grappling Championship, drew 150 participants from across the country, competing in various weight divisions and skill levels.

Bengaluru MMA Gym emerged as highest medal winners, bagging 21 medals. Team Genesis, Mysuru, followed closely, securing 18 medals and becoming the second-highest overall medal winners.

Several individual grapplers also stood out for their exceptional performances. Ashwin Adiga from IJJ, Bengaluru, captured gold medals in both the 80kg Intermediate Men and the 75kg Advanced Men categories, demonstrating his prowess and technique. Angel Yatin Patil from The Factory MMA, Mumbai, made her mark by winning gold in Under-18 years Female Division and silver in the 50kg Beginner Female category.
