Plant removed but roots…

February 23, 2023

Following publication of the news item titled ‘Will any heritage lover get this plant removed?’ in Star of Mysore dated Feb. 20, 2023, the shrub (plant) which had grown luxuriously at the base of the historic Elgin Fountain on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road in N.R. Mohalla has been removed. But, unfortunately the roots (circled in red) are not removed, as a result the plant will sprout again. It is said, ‘Do it once, do it well.’ This is not done well.
