Play ‘Swatantryada Ota’ to be staged on May 30

Taralabalu Kalasangha, Sirigere  and Taralabalu Samagama Samsthe, Mysuru, will be staging the play ‘Swatantryada Ota’ at Kiru Rangamandira in Kalamandira premises on May 30 at 6.30 pm. Addressing the press persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here recently, Publisher D.N. Lokappa said the play, based on the Partition of India and Pakistan, is written by Boluvaru Mohammed Kunhi and directed by Shashidhar Bharighat.

Taralabalu Jagadguru Sri 1108 Dr. Shivamurthy Shivacharya Mahaswamiji will grace the occasion. Senior journalist Amshi Prasannakumar will inaugurate. Department of Kannada and Culture Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy will be the chief guest. Entry is free. Litterateur Prof. Morabada Mallikarjunswamy, Taralabalu Samsthe President Dr. S.B. Vasanth Kumar and Dr. Gurumurthy were present.
