Plea to clear garbage dumped next to Ramakrishna Ashram

February 5, 2020

Garbage which is dumped next to Ramakrishna Ashram is not cleared since days. Residents allege that household garbage collected by civic workers from door-to-door is not shifted directly to the designated place but is dumped next to Ramakrishna Ashram first and then removed at the leisure time, which sometimes take days together. By the time the garbage is removed, stray cattle gather at the garbage dump and feed on the garbage, which includes plastic bags, sanitary pads, leftover food, etc. causing health issues for cows. Authorities concerned are urged to get the garbage cleared at the earliest and instruct the civic workers not to dump garbage but shift the same to the designated place  identified by the MCC.
