Hundreds of people visiting the popular shop to buy medicines inconvenienced daily

Mysore/Mysuru: Sewage water is overflowing on the road in front of Raghulal and Co. Pharmacy Store from a clogged manhole, forcing people who come to buy medicines or visit other adjacent shops to bear the stink and in turn curse the civic authorities for their apathy.

The Medical Shop is located on Sayyaji Rao Road, which has been developed as ‘Raja Marga’ but has remained only a namesake ‘Royal Route’ as the sewage problem on this stretch is a daily affair.

Every time a complaint is lodged, the civic authorities initiate repair works only after a few days with the problem recurring again and again.

The civic body harps on cleanliness campaigns but remains silent when dirty water flows on ‘Raja Marga.’ With Dasara fast approaching and tourists including foreigners coming to city, it is high time the civic authorities take steps to find a permanent solution to this  problem.
