Plea to release COVID package for Masjids, Imams and other staff

Mysore/Mysuru: Khwaja Mohammed Musheer Chishti, Organising Secretary of Masjid-e-Moula Hussain at Sathyanagar in city, has urged the Chief Minister, District Minister and other elected representatives to release COVID-19 relief package to Masjids, Imams and Mouzan staff as announced by the CM early this month.

In a press release, he has stated that following COVID-induced lockdown, all Masjids were closed since more than two months and staff rendering their services at various Masjids were facing difficulties to take care of their house and medical expenses.

Khwaja Mohammed Musheer Chishti and others have requested the Chief Minister and other elected representatives to release the funds at the earliest and extend the COVID relief package to staff of Dargas, Asarakhanas, Astanas, Sajadha Nasheen, Darvesh, Fukras and also enhance the package to Rs. 10,000 besides providing concession in CESC and water bills.
