Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to a city youth’s plea seeking shifting of a water pipeline that posed a hurdle to pedestrians and vehicular movement at Kashi in Uttar Pradesh.
B.M. Santosh, a volunteer of NaMo Bharath Mysuru team, had submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he arrived in city for addressing poll rally on Apr.9, on the problems in Kashi.
But a surprise was in store for Santosh, when just a day after, on Apr.10, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) called to compliment him for his concern.
Santosh, along with his few friends, had gone to prayagraj for the Kumbha Mela recently and was travelling to Kashi when he found that a water pipeline along the road median posed a major hurdle to motorists and pedestrians.
He captured a photo of the water pipeline and the road and submitted a memorandum to PM when he arrived at Mysore Airport in Mandakalli on Apr.9.
The PMO, in an instant response to Santosh, said that the PMO was aware of the problem and the problem would be fixed soon, while complimenting him for highlighting the problem.
