Police Band holds rehearsal

Mysuru:  The visitors to the city Palace were in for a surprise this morning as they got an opportunity to watch the Police band perform (Rehearsal) and hear the melodious music.

As part of Dasara festival, the Police band is scheduled to perform at the palace premises on Oct.5 from 6pm to 8pm. With 10 days to go for the event, first rehearsal was held today. A total of 270 personnel of the Police Band will perform before thousands of visitors to the Palace on Oct.5.

For the first time, a total of 38 teams from across the state will take part in the Oct. 5 event. Today’s rehearsal, which began with the positioning of musical instrument players, was led by English Board Commander B.Manjunath and M. Raju, an Inspector.
