Police Constable dies of heart attack

Hunsur: A Police Constable attached to Hunsur Rural Police Station, suffered a heart attack and died while returning from duty on Tuesday.

The deceased Constable is S. Aravind (48), a native of Siddanakoppal village in K.R. Nagar taluk. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

Aravind, who was recently transferred from Saligrama Police Station to Hunsur Rural Police Station, completed his day duty in 112 Emergency Vehicle on Tuesday and was on his way home when he complained of severe chest pain.

Though he was rushed to a private health centre, he suffered a heart attack and breathed his last.

Dy.SP Mahesh, Inspectors Somashekar and Devendra and others visited the house of deceased Aravind and paid their last respects. Last rites were performed at Siddanakoppal village yesterday noon, according to Police sources.
