Police Flag Day celebrated

Mysore/Mysuru: Police Flag Day was celebrated at City Armed Reserve (CAR) Parade Grounds at the foot of Chamundi Hill here this morning.

Retired Dy.SP Shanthamallappa was the chief guest.

The Flag Day was jointly organised by Mysuru City Police, Mysuru District Police, Karnataka Police Academy, Southern Range, Mounted Police, KSRP 5th Battalion, Police Training School, State Intelligence, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement (DCRE), Lokayukta, Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC), Internal Security Division (ISD) Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) 4th Battalion.

IGP Southern Range Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, and other Police officers were present.

The Police Flag Day is celebrated to mark the reorganisation of the Police Force and enacting of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963, which came into force on Apr. 2, 1965.
