Mysuru: With the State Assembly polls scheduled to take place on May 12, the City Police have launched a ‘Single Window System’ at the Office of the City Police Commissioner on Mirza Road, Nazarbad, for granting approval for election related events.

The Single Window System, which was launched yesterday (April 1), will function from 10 am to 8 pm on all days, according to a press release from the Office of the City Police Commissioner.

Helplines  launched

With the Model Code of Conduct coming into force with the announcement of the poll schedule, the Model Code of Conduct Nodal Officer C. Shivakumar has said that Assembly segment-wise helplines have been set up in all Assembly constituencies of the district to enable the public to lodge complaints on any model code violations.

The helpline number for Chamaraja, Krishnaraja, Narasimharaja and Chamundeshwari Assembly segments is Ph: 0821-2424234.

The helpline number for Varuna, T. Narasipur and Nanjangud Assembly segments is  Ph:0821-2424294.

The helpline number for K.R. Nagar, Hunsur, Periyapatna and H.D. Kote Assembly segments is Ph: 0821-2424284.

The election authorities have also set up an exclusive helpline for the physically disabled in order to respond to their complaints Ph: 0821-2424235.
