Police nab duo involved in mobile thefts during Jumboo Savari

Mysuru:  The City Crime Branch (CCB) on Oct. 24 arrested two persons who were allegedly involved in mobile phone thefts. The accused are Tausif Pasha, a resident of Kalyanagiri and Firoz Pasha, a resident of Ghousianagar. 

According to the Police, the accused were nabbed near M.A.R Mobile Shop on Akbar Road in Mandi Mohalla while they were moving around with a black cover with stolen mobile phones. On enquiry, the duo confessed to have lifted mobile phones from people who had gathered to watch Jumboo Savari on New Sayyaji Rao Road near Bamboo Bazaar. 

The Police have recovered eight mobile phones worth Rs. 1.60 lakh of different companies. The case has been handed over to Mandi Police Station for further investigation.
