Police Station sought at Bogadi

November 14, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: A day after Home Minister Araga Jnanendra inaugurated the new buildings of Hebbal and Alanahalli Police Stations in the city on Nov.10, Karnataka Praja Party President Dr. B. Shivanna urged the Government to establish a Civil Police Station at Bogadi in Mysuru taluk.

Addressing a press meet here on Friday (Nov. 11), Dr. Shivanna said that Bogadi village is not far from Mysuru city. Pointing out that the area currently comes under Saraswathipuram Police Station limits, he maintained that Bogadi needed a separate Police Station considering its geographical jurisdiction and population.

Contending that it will take a long time for Saraswathipuram Police personnel to reach the spot whenever crimes, accidents  or other such incidents take place in the village limits, he said that Bogadi has a good network of roads and several public offices and buildings. As such, the Government must take note of Bogadi’s population and jurisdiction and take measures for establishing a separate Police Station at Bogadi, which has become a necessity considering its vastness and law and order issues, he said.

Dr. Shivanna warned of staging a protest in front of Vidhana Soudha if the Government does not consider the demand for setting up of a full-fledged Civil Police Station at Bogadi. Party office-bearers A.G. Ramachandrarao, N. Harish and Mohan were present at the press meet.
