Poll code violation: Rs. 10 lakh cash seized in Mysuru

Mysuru: Since the Poll Code came into force with immediate effect after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the 2019 LS poll schedule on Mar.10, the poll officials in Mysuru have seized Rs. 10,79,300 in cash in the district that were found being carried without supporting documents.

Apart from the cash, the officials on duty at check posts on highways and other roads, have seized 24,064 bottles of liquor worth Rs.1,22,87,992 and also seized 70 vehicles found transporting them.
