Mysuru:  Election Expenditure Observers for Mysuru Lok Sabha Constituency Suresh Kumar Gupta and Sandeep Kumar Mishra held a meeting with candidates and Election Officers regarding election expenditure at the DC’s Office here yesterday.

DC Abhiram G. Sankar, present at the meeting, said that the documents of candidates would be scrutinised on three days from today (on Apr. 2, 9 and 16). The candidates should provide their bank account details and expenditure incurred during campaigning. He said that each candidate is allowed to spend up to Rs. 70 lakh and added that all the expenditure should be done through the bank account, details of which are provided to the Election Commission and

not from any other account.

The DC added that the scrutiny of documents of the candidates would be done today, on Apr. 9 and 16 from 10 am to 5 pm at DC’s Office.

Referring to campaigning, the DC asked the candidates not to campaign near places of worship and not to utilise children for canvassing. He further said that prior permission was needed to campaign through TV or mobile network.
