Nanjangud: In a shocking incident, a student of the Government Polytechnic in the town, allegedly stabbed a Government PU College student here on Thursday.

The polytechnic student, who has been identified as Akash, stabbed PU student Mahesh outside the PU College campus. Mahesh, who suffered stab injuries on his chest and hand, was rushed by the PU College staff to the Government General Hospital in the town, where he is said to be out of danger.

Akash and Mahesh had fought earlier too on some issue and Akash,  who picked up a quarrel once again, stabbed Mahesh, it is learnt. Government PU College Principal Navilur Prakash has lodged a complaint with Nanjangud Town Police in this regard.
