Poor maintenance of Public Parks

March 6, 2024

Sir,

This is to draw the attention of the MCC authorities concerned towards the poor maintenance of Mathuranagar Park in Metagalli extension.

The dry leaves are being burnt regularly which in turn creates bad smoke. Due to the smoke, we the citizens are not able to breathe good air. The elderly people and kids are facing difficulties in breathing too.

Also elderly people are unable to walk freely as the Park is not maintained properly. The green area is littered with garbage and plastic waste. This park has turned into a playground where kids play all round the day creating so much dust. The entire park is totally neglected. Metal railings and playground equipment are rusting due to neglect.

Therefore, I would like to request the authorities concerned and the area Corporators to look into this and improve the condition of the Parks for the convenience of the tax-paying residents.
