Posing as customers, 4 women lift 17 sarees worth Rs. 1 lakh

On the pretext of buying sarees posing as customers, four women reportedly lifted 17 silk sarees worth about  Rs. 1 lakh from a silk showroom on Maddur-Malavalli Road here on Friday.

The crime is said to have been captured on the CCTV cameras installed in the shop.

The four women were reportedly speaking Tamil and had come in a car. They managed to divert the attention of the sales personnel and allegedly stole the sarees hiding them in their dresses. Shop owner Ravindra has lodged a complaint with K.M. Doddi Police.
