Potholes or Death Traps !?

November 25, 2021

Sir,

No, these are not craters on the moon but potholes in our own backyard. These craters can be found just before the Railway crossing on KRS Road in front of Golden Landmark Resort.

This is a very busy road filled with tourists to KRS, workers going to industrial areas and students going to Schools and Colleges. The craters are so huge that even buses cannot navigate through them and take the footpath (as seen in the picture), let alone other vehicles.

With recent rains, the craters are filled with water forming a death trap at night more so for two-wheelers. Repairs have been done earlier on this stretch which do not even last a few months. The whole stretch has to be chipped off and a new road has to be laid.

Hope, our elected representatives and civic authorities take note and act quickly before any loss of lives on this stretch.
