Mysuru: The Karnataka State Federation of Pourakarmika Associations had organised a function at Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama on Ooty Road here this morning to mark the 77th birthday of Sri Ganapathy Swamiji.

The Swamiji presented Prathiba Puraskar to 221 children of Pourakarmikas who had excelled in SSLC, PUC, degree and other courses. Boxing aid was presented to kick-boxer A. Ranjith. Wheelchairs and tricycles were given to physically challenged people.

The Swamiji was felicitated on his birthday. Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayanandatheertha Swamiji graced the occasion. Former Mayor Narayan, State BJP Secretary M. Rajendra and others were present.
