Prabodh Ballal (48), a native of Krishnamurthypuram in Mysuru, who had settled in Bengaluru, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in Bengaluru yesterday.

He leaves behind his mother Indra Ballal, wife Mamtha Ballal, sons Kushad Ballal and Nirav Ballal, younger brother Pramukh Ballal and a host of relatives  and friends.

Last rites were held at Hebbal Crematorium in Bengaluru this morning, according to family sources.

Prabodh Ballal was the son of late Sreenivasa Ballal, a well-known advocate in Mysuru. His grandfather Raghavendra Ballal was the owner of the then famous Ballal Hotel in city.
