Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra Zonal office inaugurated in city

Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) located at Yelwal Bus Stand here this morning.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the PMKK was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 15, 2015 on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day celebrations with an aim to make India the world’s capital for skilled youths.

Urging the youths to make use of the opportunity, the MP said that the Central Government had reserved Rs. 12,000 crore to provide training for around one crore youth in various departments which is being implemented through National Skill Development Corporation, Government  of India.

The zonal centre in Mysuru will provide training through Excelus Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in six Departments which includes Assist Electrician, Steward (Food and Beverages), Retail Sales Associates, Field Technicians (other home appliances), Field Technicians (computer and peripherals) and Domestic IT help desk attendants.

Candidates within the age group of 18-35 years are eligible to apply. The training period will be for a period of 2-3 months depending on the course. On completion of the course each candidate will be provided with a certificate by the Government with placements guidance to youths from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts.

Youths, who wish to undergo training, must provide address proof, education proof, identification card, 3 passport size photographs, caste certificate (if required), bank account details at the office located on the 1st and 2nd floor, KSRTC Bus Stand Building, Yelwal.
