Prajnavanta Nagarika Vedike launches campaign to…: Remove posters from public walls

July 20, 2017

Mysuru: Upset by the rampant defacing of walls in city by indiscriminate pasting of posters, Prajnavantha Nagarika Vedike has embarked on a mission to get the ugly posters removed by taking up the task once in every week to create awareness among people.

The programme was launched by BJP leader Raghu Kautilya at Millennium circle in Bannimantap here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion Vedike Honorary President H.G. Giridhar opined that the poster menace had very badly spoilt the beauty of city which is trying to get back the cleanest city tag again. He urged the MCC officials to take stern action on such offenders as the menace had increased of late. He hoped that the Vedike action would be a pointer to MCC to take steps to curb the poster menace. Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, Vedike members Vikram Bharadwaj, Anand, Anil Thomas, Nandakumar and others took part.
