Gifts Modi framed glove and golf ball
Mysuru: Mysuru’s golden girl Pranavi Urs met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi yesterday during an interaction with the Indian contingent that participated in the Asian Games 2026.
Pranavi gifted the Prime Minister a framed glove and a golf ball she had used during the Games.
Speaking to Star of Mysore, Pranavi said, “It was nice to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He congratulated me on becoming the first Indian woman to win gold in golf at the Asian Games.”
“It was also an opportunity to meet fellow sportspersons and medal winners who had represented the country. During the Asian Games, I had met only the golfers, so meeting and interacting with other sportspersons was a good experience,” she added.
Addressing the medal winners during the interaction, Modi said, “All of you young athletes are examples of how when passion turns into victory, it brings a glow to faces along with medals.”
Praising the athletes for bringing pride to 140 crore citizens, the Prime Minister said their ultimate achievement lay in enhancing the honour and glory of the National Flag. He congratulated the athletes, their coaches, support staff and families on their collective achievement.
