Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar said that former MP Prathap Simha would challenge the FIR registered against him through legal means.

Speaking to reporters during the Ganesha idol immersion procession in Mysuru yesterday, Yaduveer said that the Police had taken the necessary legal steps and that Simha had the right to respond through legal channels.

“Police have taken whatever legal steps were necessary. We too will face this matter legally. I have not heard Prathap Simha’s speech, nor do I know exactly what he said. If there was anything in violation of the law, the authorities have acted accordingly. We also have the opportunity to respond legally,” he said.

Yaduveer said, this was only the beginning of the developments and stressed that every individual had the right to defend themselves legally.
