Mysore/Mysuru: Sarada Vilas College had organised an Academic Excellence  Award Ceremony (Pratibha Puraskar), an annual event to honour the  top scorers  in different  subjects of Graduation, recently at the Venkatakrishnaiah Hall of Sarada Vilas Law College, Mysuru.

Prof. N. Nagaraja, Director – Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Board, University of Mysore, was the chief guest.

Dr. M. Devika, Principal of the College, presided over the event.  Dr. Veena Bharathi, an alumnus of  Sarada Vilas College, who has  instituted  two silver medals  and cash prizes  since 15 years  (one for the highest scorer in Zoology, as she herself was a first rank  holder in the subject and the other for the overall highest in final B.Sc – CBZ) in her mother Laxmi Ashwath’s  name, was present to distribute the prizes personally.

Tejas B. Gowda, who is pursuing M.Sc Chemistry in Manasagangothri, was  awarded  the Zoology highest scorer’s medal & cash prize (in absentia) and K. Suman was awarded the medal and cash prize for scoring highest  marks in final year B.Sc.
