The District Uppara Employees and Professionals Association has organised Pratibha Puraskar and felicitation programme at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road at 10.30 am tomorrow (Mar. 9).

Announcing this at a press meet here on Wednesday, Association’s Publicity Secretary K.T. Mohankumar said that Pratibha Puraskar will be presented to talented students of Uppara community while retired and promoted officers, employees, achievers and social workers of the community will be felicitated on the occasion.

Chamarajanagar MLA C. Puttarangashetty will inaugurate the programme in the presence of Bhageeratha Mutt Seer Sri Purushothamanandapuri Swamiji and Ayyanasaragur Mutt Seer Sri Mahadeva Swamiji. Jayadeva Hospital Director Dr. K.S. Ravindranath and Folk artiste Doddagavi Basappa will be the chief guests. Association President M. Somanna will preside, Mohankumar said adding that various Bhageeratha awards will be presented to achievers from different fields  on the occasion. Association office-bearers T.R. Shivaraju, K. Nagesh, Mahadevashetty, M. Govindaraju and Javarashetty were present at the press meet.
