Prema Kavi Dr. K.S.N Sahityotsava tomorrow

Mysuru: As part of its 33rd anniversary, Gramantara Buddijeevigala Balaga has organised a State-level ‘Sahityotsava’ of Prema Kavi Dr. K. S. Narasimhaswamy (KSN) at Rotary Auditorium on JLB Road  in city on Mar.11.

Writer Dr. Latha Rajashekar will inaugurate the event. Senior  Littérateur Prof. K. Bhyravamurthy will preside.

On the occasion, nine literary works will be released — Bherya Ramkumar’s ‘Prema Kavi KSN-103 will be released by K.N. Mahabala (son of KSN); H.F. Handi Nalavadi’s ‘Mathivantha Shataka’ will be released by K. Raghuram; Dr. G.D. Joshi’s ‘Minchida Kshanagalu’ will be released by D. T. Prakash; J. Krishna Sharma Kashyap’s ‘Nagethorana Sahihorana’ will be released by Dr. A. Pushpa Iyengar; Hanchettira Fancy Muthanna’s ‘Kanavarike’ will be released by A. Hemaganga; Bandihole Manjunath’s ‘Navachethana’ will be released by Manjula Umesh; M.D. Aiyappa’s ‘Kavya Ninada’ by Fancy Muthanna; J. Krishna Sharma Kashyap’s ‘Chinnari Chinakurali’ by Champa Shivanna and Dr. G. D. Joshi’s ‘Banniranna Bannirakka’ will be released by Bherya Ramkumar.

On the occasion, Mumbai’s Senior Writer and Columnist Dr. G.D. Joshi and Mysuru’s Senior littérateur Prof. K. Bhyravamurthy will be  conferred ‘Sahitya Bhushana’ award for their life time achievements in the literary field. Hon. Doctorate awardee Dr. K. Raghuram Vajpayee will be felicitated.

Dr. Latha Rajashekar Literary Award

As part of the 33rd anniversary, Dr. Latha Rajashekar Literary Award will be presented to poetess Prabhavathi Kedilaya and Belagavi’s poet Nagesh G. Nayak. Vishvamanya Kannadiga Award and Prof. HSK Sahitya Award will be given to achievers in various fields.

Poets Meet

In memory of late poet K.S. Narashimaswamy, a State-level poets meet has been organised. Specially-abled poet Bandihole Manjunath will inaugurate the programme. Senior Journalist Shekhar Ajekaru will preside over the meet, according to a press release from  the President of Gramantara Buddijeevigala Balaga.
