Mysuru:  Senior city advocate Sumana was conferred ‘Prerana Award’ at a programme organised by Chiguru Makkala Kala Samsthe at Shaktidhama on Ooty Road in the city recently.

Thinker and writer Prof. C. Sarvamangala, who spoke after conferring the award, said that Sumana was instrumental in the growth of Shaktidhama.

Stating that she knows Sumana from her childhood days, Prof. Sarvamangala said that Sumana took the lead most of the times in fighting injustice. It is a matter of delight that she had conferred the award on Sumana, she said.

Recalling that Sumana was a member of Sexual Harassment Complaints Committee when she (Sarvamangala) headed it, she said that Sumana always strived to bring broken families together.

Sumana was honoured by children on the occasion.

Social activist P. Mallesh, Chiguru Makkala Kala Samsthe President Dr. T.S. Srivalli, Samskruti Subramanya and others were present.
