Present day artistes lack acting skills: Mime Ramesh

Mysuru: The new generation of actors entering the film industry lack acting skills, said senior Rangayana artiste Mime Ramesh, here yesterday.

He was speaking at a demonstration and interaction programme on Mime organised by Rotary Mysore North at Rotary Centre on JLB Road here.

Stating that it was important for the young artistes to know about different forms of dance, he said that one has to practice yoga, meditation and Bharatanatyam to master the Mime art.

Mime which is popular in European countries is not that popular in Asian countries. There is need to popularise this art among the youngsters, he added.

Later, Mime Ramesh also gave a mime demonstration much to the delight of the audience present.

Rotary Mysore North President PHF Rtn. Rajashekar Kadamba, Secretary Rtn. B.R. Shivakumar, Rtn. Mallikarjun Swamy and Rtn. A.P. Veerupaksha were present during the occasion.
