Prime Minister Modi’s visit tomorrow Traffic, parking restrictions in Mysuru

Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in city tomorrow (Apr.9) and all security arrangements are being made by the Police on account of VVIP movement. Traffic restrictions have been imposed in various parts of the city and parking facilities provided for those motorists attending Modi rally at Maharaja’s College Grounds tomorrow at 4.50 pm.

Traffic restrictions

On Apr.9 between 12 noon and 7 pm, all types of vehicle movement and parking has been restricted in the following places:  On the Nanjangud Road from Mysuru Mandakalli Airport to JSS Circle junction, on Chamaraja Double Road from JSS junction to Ramaswamy Circle, on JLB Road from RTO Circle to Ramaswamy Circle-MUDA Circle-Rotary junction parking and vehicle movement has been restricted.

On Bogadi Road from Railway-level crossing to Kautilya Circle-MUDA Circle-D. Subbaiah Road junction there is restriction. Similarly on KR Boulevard from Ekalavya Circle to Kautilya Circle, the restrictions of both traffic movement and parking have been imposed.

Alternate routes

All the vehicles coming from Nanjangud town to Mysuru City should take a deviation near the Nanjangud Kabini river bridge and then pass through Basavanapura-Kempasiddanahundi, move towards Hadinaru village, Suttur village, Varuna and join T. Narasipur Main Road, take a left turn and through T. Narasipur Road reach Mysuru Road. From Kadakola village on Nanjangud Road, the vehicles should pass through Sinduvalli-Taluru-Udbur and reach Manandavadi Road, take a right turn and reach Mysuru City.

Similarly all the public vehicles going from Mysuru to Nanjangud must move on Manandavadi Road, pass through Udbur-Taluru-Sinduvalli villages, reach Kadakola and move   towards Nanjangud.

All the vehicles going on Bengaluru Road to Nanjangud must take a left turn near Bengaluru Road junction (Columbia Asia Hospital junction), pass through Ring Road, reach Bannur Ring Road junction-T. Narasipur Ring Road junction, take a left turn, move towards Varuna village and reach Nanjangud.

All the KSRTC buses going towards western side of the city and moving towards other cities and towns from the Suburban Bus stand that pass through Chamaraja Double Road must pass through B.N.Road Arch Gate, Irwin Road-Ayurveda College Circle-JK Grounds junction-Railway Station Circle and take a right near Dasappa Circle to KRS Road-Valmiki Circle and pass through Hunsur Road.

The vehicles coming from other parts of the cities and towns that reach the Suburban Bus Stand through Hunsur Road must take a left turn before the Hinkal Road flyover, move towards Ring Road, take a left turn, pass on the Ring Road-take right turn near Bengaluru Ring Road junction and reach old Mysuru-Bengaluru Road and take right turn and through Mysuru-Bengaluru Road, reach B.N.Road-FTS Circle-B.N.Road and reach the bus stand.

Cars, two-wheelers Parking

Vehicles coming from the southern side of the city on Nanjangud Road, Manandavadi Road, RTO Circle side and Jayanagar side, the parking will be on Geetha Road, K.R. Boulevard, Zilla Panchayat Office till Ekalavya Circle.

The vehicles coming from the northern side of the city that includes Mandi Mohalla, N.R. Mohalla, Lashkar Mohalla, Devaraj Mohalla will pass through Irwin Road, go towards Railway Station, reach JLB Road and the vehicles coming from Devaraj Urs Road can park their vehicles on Maharaja’s Junior College Grounds (JLB Road) and Scouts and Guides Grounds.

The vehicles coming from eastern side of the city-Siddhartha Layout, Nazarbad, K.R. Mohalla and the vehicles coming from Chamaraja Double Road can park their vehicles on Maharaja’s and Yuvaraja’s College Grounds (through Centenary Hall Gate).

The vehicles coming from western side-Kuvempunagar, Saraswathipuram, Hunsur Road, Bogadi Road, V.V. Mohalla can park their vehicles on Saraswathipuram Swimming Pool Road and Kukkarahalli Road.

Parking of Buses, Cabs & other vehicles

The outstation vehicles coming to Mysuru on Hunsur Road can park the vehicles in Village Hostel Grounds and Mahabodhi School premises.

Those coming to Mysuru from H.D.Kote road can park the vehicles on the road opposite Hotel Airlines. Similarly the people coming from Nanjangud Road can park the vehicles on the road opposite Hotel Airlines, Narasaraja Road, Vishnuvardhan Road and M.G.Road.

The vehicles coming from T.Narasipur through Bannur Road can park the vehicles at Doddakere Maidan.

VVIP/VIP vehicles

The vehicles ferrying the VVIPs and VIPs that want to reach the Maharaja’s College Grounds to attend the mega rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi must park their vehicles in and around the venue like Bogadi Road-Kalamandira Road-DC Office Road-Fire Brigade Road-Opposite to the Law Courts, Vani Vilas Road-Chamaraja Double Road-JLB Road.

The vehicle drivers must use alternative routes to reach their respective destinations moving from one part of the city to another during this period, said the City Police Commissioner in a press release.
