K.R. Pet, Apr.29 (US)- Prithvik Shankar, a resident of Doddayachenahalli in the taluk of Mandya district has secured 211th rank at the Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 2017.

He is the son of Shankaregowda and Sudha.

After doing PUC at Saibaba Institutions in Puttur, Prithvik completed B.Sc in Bengaluru and got his M.Sc degree from Puttaparthi University in Andhra Pradesh. Though he failed in his first attempt in UPSC exam after reaching the interview stage, Prithvik after hard work secured 211th rank in his  second attempt.

Various organisations of K.R. Pet have commended the achievement of Prithvik.
