Private company fined Rs. 3.25 lakh for digging trench without permission

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has imposed a fine of Rs. 3,25,632 on a private company for digging a 58 mts trench at Metagalli to lay UGD pipeline.

RTI activist B.N. Nagendra had lodged a complaint with the jurisdictional MCC Zone-5 Office that a private company, was digging a trench to lay UGD pipeline from the layout to connect it to the main UGD pipe without obtaining permission from the MCC.

MCC Zone-5 Commissioner, who got the work stopped, issued a notice and a written instruction on Sept. 6 asking the company to pay the fine.
