KPSC scam and PC exam irregularities

Mysuru: Accusing the Congress Government of adopting double standards on examination irregularities, the BJP has demanded the resignation of State Home Minister Priyank Kharge over the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) scam and irregularities in the Police Constable (PC) recruitment examination.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP Office in Chamarajapuram this morning, State BJP Spokesperson Mohan Vishwa alleged that while Congress leaders were participating in protests in New Delhi over NEET paper leak, they had remained silent on the KPSC scam, irregularities in the Police Constable recruitment examination held last Sunday and other examination-related issues in the State.

Claiming that the Congress had promised to fill over 50,000 Government vacancies following protests by job aspirants in Bengaluru and Dharwad, Vishwa demanded that the Government make public the recruitment statistics and the number of appointments made so far.

He alleged that recruitment and academic examinations conducted under the Congress Government were marred by irregularities and corruption.

Stating that Home Minister Priyank Kharge had remained silent on the issue, Vishwa urged the Government to hand over the alleged KPSC scam to the CBI and ensure justice for deserving candidates.

He also alleged that the law and order situation in the State had deteriorated, with serious crimes being reported regularly, and held the Home Minister responsible. Reiterating the BJP’s demand for Kharge’s resignation, he accused the Minister of failing to address both examination irregularities and the alleged breakdown of law and order.
