An inter-college essay competition on the topic “Demonetisation – Merits & Demerits” both in Kannada and English was held at  Sree Cauvery Educational Institutions here recently.

The winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs.3000 (I place), Rs.2000 (II place) and Rs.1000 (III place). The following are the prize winners:

English essay: K.V. Samanvitha of MICA (I place), Daniya Aksa of Marimallapa’s Arts and Commerce College (II), K. Sneha of Sheshadripuram FGC (III).

Kannada essay: Vinayak Salimath of Yuvaraja College (I), C.Meghana of Vanivilas Women’s FGC (II), N.Roja of Marimallapa’s Arts and Commerce College (III).

Prof. K.C. Belliappa, Chairman, Sree Cauvery Educational Institutions, B.M.Nanaiah, Vice-Chairman, R.U.  Madhu, Principal and A.K.  Kushalappa, Lecturer, were present at the prize distribution.
