Mysuru/Mysore: As part of Founder’s Day, S. Ramanathan Memorial 5th Inter-High School English and Kannada Debate Competition was organised at Sri Sharada Public School in Dattagalli recently.

The chief guest Rtn. PHF C.S. Ravi Shankar, President, Rotary West Association, inaugurated the Debate Competition. Winners of the contests are as follows:

English Debate: 1st prize – Gaurangadatta and Koustubh Gowda of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru [Cash prize – Rs.5,000 for the institution]; 2nd prize – Aashritha Kiran Seshan and V. Sinchana of Acharya Vidya Kula [Cash prize – Rs.3,000 for the institution]; 3rd prize – Hardik Patel and Mahaveer Jain of Mount Litera Zee School [Cash prize – Rs.2,000 for the institution]; English Debate Individual Prizes: 1st prize – Gaurangadatta, BVB, Mysuru; 2nd prize – Koustubh Gowda, BVB; 3rd prize – Hardik Patel, Mount Litera Zee School, Mysuru; English Debate Competition Rolling Trophy – BVB, Mysuru.

Kannada Debate: 1st prize – Lithisha and M.K. Vinay of BVB [Cash prize – Rs.5,000 for the institution]; 2nd prize – G. Bhavana and E.S. Divyashree of Pramati Hill View Academy [Cash prize – Rs.3,000 for the institution]; 3rd prize – Akshari M. Bhat and Sanchitha S. Gouli of Vijaya Vittala [Cash prize – Rs.2,000 for the institution]; Kannada Debate Individual Prizes: 1st prize – Lithisha, BVB; 2nd  prize – M.K. Vinay, BVB; 3rd prize – G. Bhavana, Pramati; Kannada Debate Competition Rolling Trophy: BVB, Mysuru.

R. Manjunath Srivatsa, Secretary, Sri Sharada Public School, Dr. K. Thimmaiah, Lecturer, Maharaja’s College, Dr. Somashekar, Lecturer, Demonstration School, M. Gururaja, Administrator, Ranjitha, Principal, staff and students were present.
