Prof. A. Ramadoss (83), retired Professor and HOD of Tamil at St. Philomena’s College and a resident of N.R. Mohalla, passed away on Apr. 2 at his son’s residence at Chennai.

He leaves behind his wife Shakuntala, daughter Uma Srinivasan, son Balachandran and a host of relatives and friends.

Prof. Ramadoss had also served as the HOD of Tamil at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). He was also the Chairman of Board of Studies, Board of Education, Text Book Board
and member of Faculty of Arts and Academic Council and was also associated with Central Institute of Indian Languages.

Last rites were held on Apr. 3 at Chennai, according to sources.
